Job Description:

HR Recruiter / Generalist - Collierville

A great learning experience.

A chance to grow professionally.

A daytime, weekday work schedule.

An informal, relaxed work atmosphere.

A full benefits package and a competitive salary.

If these things appeal to you in an employer, we need to talk!

We are United, a 45-year old, privately-held locally-based service and logistics company with the leading technology in our industry. We have nearly 500 employees throughout 10 states and thanks to our growth, we have relocated to a large, new facility in Collierville. Our goal as a company is to recruit the top talent and connect this talent to our clients through the use of cutting-edge technology.

Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven individual to join our Human Resources team for an immediate opening.

This near entry-level role is an opportunity for you to join our small HR team, and learn all facets of HR with an initial emphasis on recruiting exempt and non-exempt positions for our firm. You will also assist with the design and implementation of recruitment strategies to meet current/future needs, ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and timeliness. In addition, you will develop and maintain professional networks with colleges/universities, professional associations, third-party recruitment agencies, outplacement services, attend job/career fairs, etc., as a source to generate qualified applicants.

You will also take a lead role in other HR-related initiatives, including the development and delivery of a new employee on-boarding and orientation program. You may also provide general HR support for a variety of HR functions, including payroll, benefits and worker’s compensation administration.

Your qualifications should include a minimum of 1 year related recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment, a proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and a familiarity with HR information systems, including automated applicant tracking systems, or the equivalent in work and education. You should also have exemplary customer service skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with managers and candidates. Experience in payroll, benefits and workers comp administration is preferred, but not required.

Workplace culture is very important, and we think you will enjoy ours. We have a relaxed, informal work atmosphere, and a family-friendly, Monday-Friday daytime work schedule. Our benefits include major medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans, and a 401(k) Savings Plan with company match. We also offer a competitive compensation package, paid time off and promotional opportunities. By the way, we like to have a little fun at work, too!

If you are a positive team player who is a motivated self-starter and prides themselves on delivering great service, we want to talk with you!

We’re growing at United---come grow with us!
