We are Memphis Auto Auction, a leader in the automotive auction industry and a winner of the Auction of the Year award. We’re growing, and due to an increased business needs, we are now seeking an Auction Office Clerk.

Our auction is a division of United Recovery and Remarketing, a 46-year old Memphis based company with nearly 500 employees, and we are now interviewing for an immediate opening in our facility in the Memphis airport area. This position is a full-time, daytime shift, with a family-friendly Monday-Friday schedule.

As an Auction Office Clerk, you will successfully handle and provide exemplary customer service to our clients and internal business partners in the auction office, process paperwork generated by the weekly auction sale in a timely, organized manner and provide general administrative support to the sales department. You will also accurately input information into spreadsheets and other documents, and field calls from internal and external customers, as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and potential dealers in the auction office
  • Print consignor tickets and auction catalogues prior to sale
  • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate departments
  • Collect monies for vehicle purchase(s) during sale and issue receipts
  • Enter data into auction software
  • File dealer paperwork

Experience and Skills:

Required Qualifications:

  • High school grad or equivalent
  • Previous experience in automotive industry is a plus
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Minimum one-year customer service experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with a spreadsheet is a plus
  • The ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • A great work attitude, work ethic, and team player
