Due to our continued growth, United Recovery and Remarketing, Inc. is now seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a newly-opened position on our leadership team.

About the position:

In this highly-visible role, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and lead a team of staff accountants and A/P and A/R professionals. You will develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, as well as manage the financial reporting process. As you help your team grow in their roles, you will ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. Your responsibilities will also include a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation and financial reporting. As Accounting Manager, you will have ongoing contact with the company’s CFO and COO, as well as other senior-level managers throughout the corporation.

Your qualifications should include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with five or more years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in a professional services firm is preferred. You also must be proficient in Quickbooks or other large automated accounting systems, as well as Microsoft Office and Google products. You should thrive in a fast-paced setting, have the ability to meet deadlines, and have superior communication skills. A proven track record in leading and developing a team is required. An advanced degree or CPA is preferred.

About our benefits:

In addition to a competitive compensation plan and paid time off, our full-time employees may participate in major medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans, and a 401(k) Savings Plan with company matching. Our employees enjoy a family-friendly, Monday-Friday daytime work schedule and a relaxed, informal work environment.

About our company:

We are a 46-year old, privately-held Memphis-based company, with automotive-related business lines, including a vehicle auction, the largest private repossession service in the country, and the leading remarketing service in the U.S. We have nearly 500 employees in 10 states, and thanks to the dedication of our employees and our industry-leading technology, we have nearly doubled in size over the last four years.
